May 11th...

May 11th: 8am
6 So Abraham placed the wood for the burnt offering on Isaac’s shoulders, while he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them walked on together, 7 Isaac turned to Abraham and said, “Father?”
“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.
“We have the fire and the wood,” the boy said, “but where is the sheep for the burnt offering?”
8 “God will provide a sheep for the burnt offering, my son,” Abraham answered. And they both walked on together.

As I was reading this morning I felt drawn to this passage. For the first time in my life I think I have some feeling of what Abraham was going through. It's tough to feel so helpless for Bronson, but I know that his life is in God's hands and that He is going to take care of us.

I am expecting great things today. We are praying that his Jaundice levels will decrease and his liver function will increase. Also praying for a small victory today...that we would have the chance to hold our boy.
As I think about yesterday the doctor (who is still on shift now) said he was surprized that he was able to get all the specialist departments together so quickly... I am believing that was an answer to prayer...

Please continue to pray:
1- Jaundice levels decrease and Liver levels increase
2- That God would expedite the process of the blood work and we would get results soon
3- obviously for a full healing here!

8:45am
- We called S.K to get an update. They haven't had a chance to test him for his Jaundice levels yet so pray when they do so around 9 - 930 that they will be lower... They gave him a catheter to help him pee and is peeing fine now... Lets pray that the liver swelling decreases so he can pee on his own.
Also, forgot to mention that they found a bit of a heart murmur. Waiting for a ECG today. Please pray the results come back negative.

Oh I should mention. The EKG test that they did as well should have only taken 10 seconds. But SOMEBODY decided to get the hiccups during the whole process!

8pm

Well it has been a long day... It's incredible how many people have taken the time to read this note and how many have contacted me to encourage us! Who knew that FB does actually serve a useful purpose! When it comes to serious situations and when much prayer is needed I don't mind sharing and am glad so many have taken an interest in little Bronson! So thank you! And feel free to continue to fw. this.

Ang and I are home for the night and could not believe that 2 amazing people came and cut our grass, planted flowers, and picked up dog poop for us!! You know who you are and you are loved... thank you so much!!

The further we drove from S.K's the tougher it was to keep going. Yet we know he is in good hands and we know that the Great Physician is watching over him. As I drove home I felt a little humbled by my own words... just over a month ago I spoke a message at Brooklin Towne Centre Church called "It's Not Over Till It's Over".

I've realized that God is a God that cheers for the underdog. He's a God that likes to put His handy-work on situations that seem impossible to overcome... - He's a God that still gets a chuckle when He stumps doctors :)

It's tough when you don't see immediate results - but Angela and I know that our little boy and our family is in Christ's hands.

His levels haven't decreased yet with his jaundice - they've actually increased - so his phototherapy has been stepped up. With this type of case there are close to 1200 outcomes of what the issue could be..some good, some not-so-good.

It's not over till it's over...and even when it's over God can tell us it's still not over.
Take a look at this video... it's one that was used in my message from Igniter Media. (copy or click the link below)

And feel free to listen to the message (shameless plug here...) I hope it inspires you the same way it has for me.

Well that's it for tonight. We are praying that he will sleep well and begin to heal over night.
Also, I have uploaded a album of Bronson that I will try to make public. Feel free to share with those that are wanting to know how he is doing ... thank you again for your prayers and keep them coming!
